Hi, I’m Rachel!
I teach women how to get gorgeous, glowing skin using the power of real food, self care, and plant-based skincare products.
As an integrative nutrition health coach, holistic skin care educator, organic skincare formulator in training, and someone who spent way too much time and money in the never-ending search for beauty in a bottle, I’m all about helping you create healthy eating, lifestyle, and skin care habits that beautify your skin inside + out.
My holistic approach to healthy skin builds a strong and sustainable foundation for optimal skin health, beauty, and well-being. You CAN have clear, smooth, glowing skin now AND keep it that way as you age.
The good news is this: transforming your skin doesn’t need to feel like a chore, take forever, or break the bank. Small diet and lifestyle upgrades done consistently over time is what matters most – rather than massive changes and extreme measures. As your health coach and guide, I’m here to help you implement realistic wellness routines and skincare rituals that serve you, your skin, and your schedule.
How Did This Become My Life?
After being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, healing my body naturally, and breaking free from years of yo-yo dieting, disordered eating habits, and low self-esteem, I became OBSESSED with teaching other women how to create vibrant health without deprivation. In hopes of inspiring others to take charge of their own health, I’ve spent the past decade helping women get healthy and feel beautiful from the inside-out through holistic wellness programs, bridal boot camps, and personal training services. I’ve had the honor and privilege of teaching thousands of women how to improve their health, beauty, and well-being naturally.
Early on in my career, I realized there is an undeniable connection between beauty and wellness. In fact, gorgeous, glowing skin was often a by-product of my fitness & wellness programs. Clients would light up and tell me how not only they were losing weight, but their acne was clearing up for the first time in years. I was fascinated! After diving in to the research and learning more about the gut-brain-skin connection, I became so interested in skin care that I took a part-time position as a natural skin care specialist at a local boutique so that I could learn from estheticians and beauty experts in the industry. While I discovered working in a retail setting wasn’t for me, I learned so much from that experience. When I left that role I no longer could afford the organic skincare products I became attached to so I embarked on a journey to learn how to make my own.
Fast forward 3 years and through lots of trial and error – I started teaching local skincare make-and-takes for other women who wanted to learn how to make their own organic skincare products too. I fell in love with the entire process – from creating formulations, sourcing high-quality ingredients, designing labels, to teaching the classes. Best part, the products worked and women raved about them! This sparked so much joy that I started diving deeper into the fields of herbalism, aromatherapy, and organic skincare formulation to expand my knowledge and understanding of botanical ingredients and how they work to improve the health of our skin.
I’m passionate about educating women on the deep connection between diet, lifestyle and skin. I started this blog to share my best tips, recipes, and resources with you! On my new blog, you can expect to find practical wellness tips, skin-nourishing real food recipes, and easy-to-follow DIY skincare recipes that will set your skin on its natural course of optimal health and visible radiance. I am thrilled to be on this journey with you!
Where Did My Passion for Beauty & Wellness Begin?
The truth is, I wasn’t always healthy. I grew up on Captain Crunch and microwave meals, was overweight as a child, and developed serious body image issues and eating disorders at the age of 12. For most of my life, I struggled with acne, yo-yo dieting, digestive issues, and a serious lack of self-worth. Simply put, I hated my body and I tried everything to change it.
