Hi there! I’m Rachel.
Driven by my personal journey and triumph through years of yo-yo dieting, an autoimmune disease, and several health issues – I’m passionate about empowering women to ditch dieting, make peace with food, and live a healthy, balanced life for good.
I’m a trained public health researcher turned certified integrative nutrition health coach, holistic fitness trainer, and natural wellness educator.
Since 2009, I’ve helped hundreds of women to improve their health, energy, endurance, strength, sleep, and mindset through my corporate wellness career, fitness classes, wellness workshops, and private one-on-one health coaching programs. You can read fun articles about my first bridal fitness business at The Buffalo News and UB Today Magazine.
Today, I take a holistic and grace-filled approach to nutrition, health, and well-being. I want to show you how to listen to your body’s innate wisdom and give it exactly what it needs.
On my new blog, you can expect to find nourishing recipes and practical wellness tips to support you on your journey. No restrictive meal plans, shaming, or unrealistic lifestyle changes that are impossible to fit into your already jam-packed schedule. Instead of telling you what to do, I’ll help you discover what works for you.
I’m thrilled to be on this journey with you!
Curious How I Got Here?
My health journey was anything but linear, but I’m grateful for the wild ride because it led me here writing for you – the woman who deserves to take care of herself mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually so that she can realize her full potential and live a life she loves. Want To Know More About Me?
I live in Buffalo, NY, with my Ninja husband Darren, and our sweet fur babies Leo (short for Leonidas – The Ninja Warrior King) and Xander (short for Alexander The Great Conquerer of All Obstacles). Yes, we are an American Ninja Warrior family! We’re small business owners, aspiring parents, and coaches with over 35+ years of combined experience in the fitness and wellness industries.
I’m an introverted dreamer, doer, and creative entrepreneur who has an insatiable appetite for learning and growth. I love take-your-breath-away laughs, dancing at weddings, live theatre, rainbows, pink flowers, hiking, and Buffalo’s Canalside at sunset. I live for Jesus, and I’ll drop anything for family and friends. God is good, and life is chaotically beautiful. I LOVE IT!
Current Obsessions: Matcha lattes, smoothies, and taking pictures of my fur sons.
Most Likely To Find Me: At my desk with a pup on my lap, diffusing essential oils, and creating content for my online communities.
Favorite Quote: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” – Marianne Williamson
Fun Fact: Darren and I won the wedding of our dreams and were featured on a 5-part reality TV series. You can watch our entire wedding planning journey from start to finish at Hitched716.com.
