Hi, I’m Rachel.

An entrepreneur, newlywed, and natural health enthusiast turned lifestyle blogger dedicated to helping you become the healthiest, BEST version of yourself possible.

I’m talking the irreplaceable version of YOU who is overflowing with love, constantly growing, and looking forward to what the Lord has in store for you.

The woman who is confident in her own skin and date-night ready for the first time in years. The woman who is raising her children while keeping the sparks alive in her marriage, growing a bigger business, serving her community, and spending lots of stress-free time with family and friends. The woman who just saved her first $1,000, paid off the last of her debts, or booked her first mission trip to Haiti.

Whatever speaks to you, the best version of you is a POWERHOUSE! She’s joyful, fulfilled, and shares her unique gifts with the world.

From my perspective, living healthy is not just about managing your weight or looking good naked (although that’s a major perk!). It’s about being the strong, graceful, and capable woman you were born to be. It’s about showing up every day as the sharpest, most loving, generous version of you that you can regardless of the many challenges you face. It’s is about having the energy, courage, and confidence to pursue your dreams.

A healthier, better “you”, makes a better family, a better community, and ultimately a better world.

Here’s the truth, you were perfectly designed for greatness and purpose. And I know that in order to live your best life and fulfill the roles that God has for you, then you have to invest in you and your wellness. Through my work and this blog, I’m dedicated to providing you with the inspiration, resources, and support you need to take charge of your health and create your best life one step at a time.

Why Am I Passionate About This?

To keep a long story short, I wasn’t always healthy. I grew up on processed foods, was overweight as a child, and developed serious body image issues and eating disorders at the age of 12. For most of my life, I struggled with yo-yo dieting, anxiety, bouts of depression, digestive problems, and a serious lack of self-worth.

Simply put, I hated my body and I tried everything to change it.

Eventually, my vicious cycle of extreme dieting and binge eating, lack of sleep, chronic stress, and completely toxic lifestyle finally caught up with me one morning in July 2009 when I couldn’t lift myself out of bed. I literally could not move. Specialists, scopes, and scans later, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. That day changed everything for me.

I realized something extremely important – I have one body, one life on this earth, and I better start learning how to take care of myself before it’s too late.

So, I did just that – I got serious about my health and fitness, started researching how to heal my body naturally, and read every holistic health and nutrition book I could get my hands on. I cleaned up my diet, slept more, replaced my toxic personal care and beauty products with natural solutions, and truly embraced a purer lifestyle. Within a few weeks, I started to get better – I had more energy and my digestion improved. Within a year, I completely reversed all of my symptoms and had no sign of an autoimmune disease when tested.

Now, I wish I could say my life was full of rainbows and butterflies from there. But it wasn’t.

My physical body may have been healed, but my mental and spiritual states were far from healthy. While enrolled at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition I realized what was “missing” and it came down to one thing: faith. On January 20, 2015, I surrendered my life to Jesus and decided to start spending the same amount of time and energy on improving my spiritual health as I was on my physical health. And I’ve been on a wild journey of personal development and spiritual growth ever since.

Health is a journey, not a destination.

Being the healthiest, best version of you is not something you can ever forget about, or be done with. It’s a decision that you’ll have to make every single day. Even though I may be stronger, happier, and more in tune with my body (and God) than ever before, I’m still refining and adapting my habits, and I know I always will be.

Today, I care deeply about what I put in and on my body. This includes the thoughts I think, the books I read, the foods I eat, and the products I use and it took me over 25 years to figure all of this out! My hope for you is that you can come to this realization faster than me and learn quickly just how easy it is to live a healthy, non-toxic lifestyle.

What you put in and on your body matters.

As wives, as mothers, as women in general, we need to be vigilant of the environment that we live in and the toxins that are in everything from household cleaners to our makeup and beauty products. It’s important for us to be the gatekeepers of our homes and to know about the healthier options out there. I’m here to educate, equip, and encourage you to do just that. It’s time to kick the toxic thoughts, foods, habits, products (and possibly even people) to the curb!

Your Health. Your Life. On Purpose.

Pursuing your dreams and sharing your unique gifts with the world takes energy, focus, and stamina.

Health isn’t just about going to yoga or drinking a green smoothie. It’s your overall well-being – mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It’s what you put in your body and what you get out of your body. It’s how your body feels and functions.

Health allows you to become the best version of you and fulfill your purpose.

I started to help smart, savvy women just like you take charge of their health and become unstoppable forces for good. You’re in the right place if you’re:

  • Sick and tired of feeling sick, tired, and like you’re not living up to your potential.
  • Ready to take your health into your own hands and live the best life possible.
  • Seeking simple, practical health solutions that work.
  • Not looking to be judged, but rather nudged in the right direction.
  • Willing to take action and make changes to get results.
  • An ordinary woman dreaming of doing extraordinary things for God’s glory and the greater good of humanity.
  • Excited about being transformed into the woman God created you to be.
  • Inspired to make an impact, leave a legacy, or simply change a life.

I pray that my personal stories of trials, failures, and triumphs that I share on this blog will inspire you and serve as your guide for getting from where you are to where you want to be. I pray to create a community where you feel empowered, understood, and loved.

Each week, I write for you, but I also write for me, as a reminder to nurture and respect our bodies as we pursue our dreams. If you’re ready to experience the energy, joy, and confidence that comes from living a non-toxic lifestyle then come join me!
